Double Brokering
In short
Double brokering is cheating, trucking style.
In plain words
You think it's just the two of you. Turns out you were secretly resold to someone else, and they pocketed the money.
Here's how it works. A scammer books a load from a broker like he'll haul it himself.
Then he quietly hands it off to another carrier for less.
He keeps the broker's money. The driver who actually hauled it never gets paid.
It's illegal in the US. But there are plenty of scammers running this play.
So before you take a load, check who you're really working with.
