Truck parts cost 5.7% more than in early 2024
A new FinditParts index shows driveline and axle parts rose the most. Manufacturer-level prices are still climbing.
Key facts
The first FinditParts Heavy-Duty Price Index shows heavy-duty truck parts in September 2026 were 5.7% above January 2024.
Driveline and axle parts rose the most, about 13%. HVAC parts were roughly flat.
Most of the increase came last year. In 2026, retail parts prices have been rising more slowly.
But manufacturer-level prices are still up nearly 2% year over year, so more increases may reach fleets.
Context: ATRI puts average carrier operating cost at a record $2.336 per mile, of which repairs and maintenance are $0.215. For brokers: small carriers with aging equipment are the first to drop out when rates dip.
